The once prolific 26th street flea market in NYC had been forced to move due to new commercial development in that area. The resulting enterprise is the Hell’s Kitchen Market—perhaps NYC’s largest marketplace—one on the scale of those in Paris or Berlin.
Reminiscent of turn-of-the-century signs often found on top of New York buildings, the logo pays tribute to the nostalgic, industrial ambiance of the Hell’s Kitchen Area of NYC. A myriad of typefaces mimic the bustle of the city, as well as representing the vast collection of oddities found at the flea market.
