La Condesa

Drawing its theme from the vibrant Mexico City neighborhood of the same name, these restaurants were inspired by the diverse mix of old and new cultural influences that continue to shape La Condesa.

Signage is typically hand painted on walls, whitewashed, and painted again for generations— creating a rich and colorful backdrop. The resulting brand identity system reflects this eclecticism— all typography for menus, signage and other materials were hand-painted, stamped, stenciled or drawn creating an authentic mix-matched continuity.

In 2011, La Condesa opened a new location in St Helena in the old Keller Meats building. Sharing the same chef as in Austin, they are receiving wonderful press for their take on modern mexican food.
