A classic identity for the digital world
With a wide range of clients — from the unthinkably large to the just-getting-started, Upperquad wanted to contrast the technology-driven aesthetic of other digital firms. Understanding that idea is king, and execution subservient, we created a distinctive monogram which utilized a typographic pun on the studio’s name. This concept carried over to collateral and branded materials, where we worked closely with our friends on the design team to get the perfect balance of thoughtful and smart.
Details such as blind embossed cards in black and white added to the high quality feel and finish. With the designers at Upperquad we honed strict typographic guidelines, selecting two contrasting typefaces. The full wordmark maintains that classic feel in small caps and customized letterforms.
